Abstract painting; "The Growing Spirit of Creative Communities" 2023 by Denver artist Quána Madison. Acrylic and enamel paint on primed cotton canvas.The work is rectangular in shape, large in size, and stretched over a wooden stretcher that is visible on the verso. Painting exhibits swirling brush strokes throughout and is multi-colored including, blue, green, pink, purple, orange, yellow, red, black, and white. Green swirling pattern located in the top left and bottom right corner, with pink and red strokes mixed throughout. The top left corner is mainly red and pink with smaller strokes of orange, blue, and green paint. The bottom left corner is almost entirely blue with smaller strokes of purple, pink, light blue, and teal. There is white, pink, and yellow paint splattered throughout. Artist initial, signature and date written in black ink on verso of the canvas in top right corner and reads, "Quána Madison 2023."

Denver expressionist artist Quána Madison was commissioned to create a painting on site at the Littleton Museum during the State of the Arts event on March 22, 2023. With community members looking on, Quána poured, swirled, and splattered paint over a large unstretched canvas. The final work was stretched after drying and purchased using Fine Arts Board and Museum acquisition funds.
The Fine Arts Collection consists of artwork acquired for the City of Littleton's public art collection, or art portfolio. The collection includes permanent installations in City-owned public parks and buildings, as well as a large collection of rotating artworks which are only available for exhibition in City-owned buildings, such as the Littleton Center, Bemis Public Library, Littleton Court House, and the Littleton Museum. Artworks in the Rotating Collection are exhibited for short terms in order to avoid light damage, pest infestation, vandalism, etc., as well as to freshen up public spaces on occasion. When on display, the Rotating Collection artworks are located indoors and may not be accessible during evening or weekend hours.
