From the exhibit "The Story of Littleton in 125 Objects": This painting shows various views of Littleton from the early 1980s. Nationally and internationally renowned, longtime Littleton watercolorist rita derjue has a distinct style of painting, often using Littleton landscapes and scenes in her work.
One of two watercolor paintings (see other painting, 1996.13.2), purchased from artist; purchase was for paintings, both completed by artist during "Ten Days in June", 1981. Both paintings on Rag D'Arches paper, with a pencil drawing and watercolor.
