- Watkins Stained Glass Studio
"Bemis Public Library Centennial Stained Glass Windows" by Phil Watkins of Watkins Stained Glass Studio, 1998. Located over the main entrance to the Children's Room inside Bemis Public Library. 13 individualized glass panels depict a variety of characters and themes from children's books; alternating with 13 panels in the design of Log Cabin Quilt blocks, in bright and colorful glass, with rainbow glass bordering strips. Small dedication plaque located nearby.
In celebration of the centennial anniversary of a public library in Littleton, The Friends of the Littleton Library and Museum (FOLM) raised funds for the installation of a stained glass window inside Bemis Public Library. FOLM donated the initial $2,000, and other donations came in via the sale of small commemorative objects, like mugs, tote bags, water bottles, magnets, and t-shirts. Library staff came up with the themes.
